WSAS TWG co-chair Dan Schwartz receives top U.S. award for STEM mentors

WSAS member and TWG co-chair Dan Schwartz was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) this week. The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) recognized Schwartz for his innovative and interdisciplinary programs recruiting Native American and other minority STEM scholars at the University of Washington as well as his role as the founding director of UW’s Clean Energy Institute (CEI).
