Subject:   Workshop Proceedings Available: Science & Technology for the Washington State Legislature

Washington State Academy of Sciences members and staff participated in a workshop on October 4, 2017 that convened scientists and engineers, legislators, and those who work to bridge them to discuss how scientists and engineers can help the Washington State Legislature address complex challenges in a rapidly changing world.

The workshop was organized by Melanie Roberts of ST4S Consulting, in collaboration with the workshop advisory committee: Donna Gerardi Riordan (Executive Director of WSAS), Anjan Bose (President of WSAS), and Michael Kern (Director, William D. Ruckelshaus Center). Major funding was provided by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and Simons Foundation in collaboration with the California Council of Science and Technology. The Washington State Academy of Sciences and the William D. Ruckelshaus Center co-sponsored the event.
